The Poetry of Abstract Sound
(ลำนำแห่งเสียงนามธรรม)
An immersive night of improvisation and new composition featuring guest artists: Tam Thi Pham, a unique Vietnamese artist who plays the Đàn bầu, currently based in Hamburg, Germany, and Sasivimol Homsombat, a talented Saw Duang player, alongside the resident artists TYOY Ensemble from Bangkok, Thailand, consisting of Minami Takei (Handpan & Percussions), Ittikorn Tuchmalee (Violoncello), Mahakit Mahaniranon (Piano & Electronics), and Roman Solodkov (Visual Art).
Blending traditional Vietnamese and Thai musical instruments in new interpretations and contexts, the performance also features cello, handpan, percussion, and electronic instruments. The sound emphasizes the profound interplay of all sounds interacting with live visuals.
Audiences will be immersed in a deep experience of sound and visual art. Focusing on sonic textures, visuals, and emotional depth, the performances invite audiences to open their eyes and minds intently to absorb and reflect on the art of sound and visual.
